The Hilton Providence was a disappointment. It has only one restaurant (though the food was excellent) and our room with two double beds was small and crowded. We were staying using points so I can't complain but if I were paying for the room I would have expected more. The small convenience had ridiculously priced items- a very small box ( about half the size of a regular box) of wheat thins was $3.00! It cost $7.50 for 15 minutes of internet use in their business center. And the hotel was very hard to access because the entrance to the hotel is very close to an intersection at which traffic backs up for a light.

This is a beautiful hotel. I thought the room is absolutely beautiful
with flat screen TV, comfortable beds and a luxurious looking bathroom, which I really loved. There were a couple of problems though. The toilet seat was a bit wobbly and the bathroom door handle
was about to fall off, but when we told reception about it, the problems were fixed while we were out.

One of the staff at reception, however, did not seem to know much about the area. When we asked about public transportation to College Hill, she suggested taking a cab, our car or just walking. We started
walking and saw the visitors centre where we found out that there is a trolley in Providence that goes to College Hill and Federal Hill. We were disappointed that staff working for a major hotel chain did not know about this trolley! I would like to emphasize that this is just one staff. The valet was very helpful in unloading our car and making sure that someone was there to take our luggage to our room.

Overall, I really liked this hotel, even though they did not offer complimentary high speed internet or complimentary breakfast. The luxurious bathroom and room more than makes up for that.

We visited friends in Providence and booked our stay at the Providence Marriott, and, needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was absolutely wonderful and we have stayed at other hotels that were rated higher, but couldn't have been any better! We would not hesitate to book another stay at this hotel!

We rented out the hotel suite ( Villa Toscana) for a private party and we also stayed the night there.

Everything went smoothly and perfectly for both our party and our stay. The staff really went out of their way to accommodate us.The villa suite is amazing! There are two court yards, a full kitchen, a koi pond, the bedroom, two bathrooms, a jacuzzi, a huge deck, and two living areas. Our guests really had room to spread out and mingle.

The bed was so comfortable and staying in the suite you really forget you are in the city.

The hotel is conveniently located near many fabulous restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you bring a car there is a spot to park right outside the villa's door.

I would highly recommend this hotel for both private parties and for an overnight stay.
